So you’re probably wondering who is Chris Makell and how can she help me?

Well, let’s begin with a little background and then we’ll decide, ok?

After a 25+-year career in high-level positions at IBM, I made the transition to running my business full time. I had already begun working on my business for the last five years, so this made for a much easier transition.

For years, I considered myself a career coach given some of my positions in corporate, but it was my fellow solopreneurs who wanted to know how I built my business that helped me realize how much I liked working with business owners.

I invested tens of thousands of dollars and hours into studying, perfecting and implementing marketing strategies in my own business. Things like, what makes an effective website, how to effectively introduce yourself, how to package, price and profit from your service offerings and how to bring you and your business to the world – both online and offline.

I launched Radiance Marketing because I recognized that marketing is not a one time, isolated event. It spreads and touches a lot of different areas of your business. It’s a combination of strategies, actions and results!

At this point you’re probably asking yourself, well how does that help me, Chris? I’m so glad you asked…

My skills lie in helping those who have an academic, high-level corporate career or corporate escapee making the transition to their business, full time. Why? Because I can relate to you, and the specific challenges you must face. Challenges in your thinking, like asking for permission or approval, being concerned about who your boss or leader is instead of just taking action. Asking who you think you are to create your own business, give yourself a title, write or say what you think without getting HR or Legal’s ok.

Listen, marketing is marketing, but you want to work with someone who absolutely relates to what you’re experiencing in this new world of being a solopreneur and I may be a good match for you.

But in my corporate career, I worked with and coached high-level executives in a Fortune 20 company, who earned enormous salaries and are highly successful. It was my job to call them on their c-r-a-p, tell them to get their act together and get moving.

I also led two global teams of high level professionals to develop and deliver programs that impacted over 3000 employee’s careers. I took my team to India and France to facilitate sharing of cultures and knowledge so that they could create more success in their respective countries. This was masterminding at its finest. So if a company like IBM trusts me to bring together global teams to learn from each other to create more success globally, you can imagine what I can do for small businesses.

I support my clients and their businesses, fully, because I both believe and recognize their brilliance, whether they do or not.
